But Jesus said, “They need not go away; you give them something to eat.

Matthew 14:16

The Need.

Over 229,000 adults and 66,000 children in central Alabama live in homes without access to adequate food (2021 numbers). That’s 1 in 4 children and 1 in 5 people who experience hunger on a regular basis. Additionally, over 35,000 children fall within the meal gap – they do not qualify for federal nutrition aid (SNAP), and they would fall through the cracks.

Our Plan.

At Lineville Baptist Church, we believe in serving our community by sharing God's love and meeting practical needs. Our Food Pantry Outreach Program exists to provide access to nourishing food and a supportive environment, welcoming all individuals regardless of age, race, income, or circumstances. If you or someone you know could use some extra help, we invite you to join us for our monthly Food Pantry Distributions, held on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

The food we provide is made possible by the generous giving of our congregation, partnerships with the Alabama Food Bank, and donations from our local community. We are so grateful for the support that enables us to keep our shelves stocked and doors open.

Getting Involved.

Looking for a way to get involved? Our Food Pantry is always in need of compassionate volunteers. Whether you have an hour to spare or would like to join us regularly, there’s a place for you to make a difference
